Robert Pattinson: “If you find a girl who reads, keep her close. When you find her up at 2 AM clutching a book to her chest and weeping, make her a cup of tea and hold her. You may lose her for a couple of hours but she will always come back to you. She’ll talk as if the characters in the book are real, because for a while, they always are. Date a girl who reads because you deserve it. You deserve a girl who can give you the most colorful life imaginable. If you can only give her monotony, and stale hours and half-baked proposals, then you’re better off alone. If you want the world and the worlds beyond it, date a girl who reads.”

Seller of the Week : Paul Buss
Paul Buss may have only started using the format of digital painting a few months ago, but his work is as impressive as it is refreshing. His use of animals and geometry paired with a rockabilly ’50s vibe is something we haven’t seen in a while - if ever.
As you’ll read in the interview below, he also seems somewhat nonchalant about his work - his prints must have required a great deal of planning, time and effort, but Buss seems to just enjoy making his art and reading comic books. Sometimes it just doesn’t get any better than that.
Check out (and purchase before he gets famous) Paul’s art at his Copious store.
Copious: What is digital painting?
Paul: It’s a medium not unlike “real world painting”, but instead of canvas I work completely in the digital realm using a pen tablet and photo manipulation software like Gimp and Photoshop. It saves money on canvas!
Copious: Do you dabble in other mediums?
Paul: I enjoy writing music and playing guitar as well as my new found love of cooking.
Copious: Can you tell us a little bit about your background?
Paul: I’m from Racine, Wisconsin, which is about 30 miles south of Brew City and about 60 miles north of the Windy City. I pretty much spend my time doing artsy fartsy things with my artsy fartsy friends…oh and hanging out at Evelyn’s Club on Main!
Copious: When did you first start making digital paintings?
Paul: Ironically only a few months ago…but I have actually been drawing since I could pick up a pencil and doodle on line paper. I figured I would take up working digital because the finished products tend to look a bit more professional in my eyes.
Copious: What inspires you to create your designs?
Paul: Nicotine, coffee, imagination, music and comic books!
Copious: Do you have any designs in the works?
Paul: I always have something lurking in the dark nether regions of my mind…
